Today, I had LVA auditions. Let me explain in order the story.
At 9:30, we left my house. On our way, I got a text from my violin teacher asking if I was still home because she had forgotten to e-mail me the letter of recommendation. I said I wasn't but the letter wasn't required. It was totally fine. We arrived at 9:50. I put away my phone.
I warm up. Totally forget about the letter. Don't check my phone.
10:25. Auditions about to begin. I am waiting. Mom says, "Look! Oh my gosh!" My violin teacher had driven all the way to LVA to deliver a letter of recommendation. It made me, my mom, and my sister cry. (Both the letter and delivery.)
10:30 I audition. judge/ director of orchestra is enjoying my letter of recommendation. He smiles the whole time I play. My bow bounces because I shake. Judge tells me he lives by me, and maybe we will pass by each other on the way to LVA. Tells me how to make my bow more gentle. Likes the fact I play viola- which he only knew because of the letter.
10:40 I leave. Check my phone. My violin teacher had told me she was bringing the letter, and asked for my moms phone number. My heart sinks. I could have saved her the trouble and just had her email it to the judge.
I am filled with gratitude. That was so kind of her. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father who has blessed me with such great talents.
Wow. That is all I can say. WOW.
Girls night. My favorite 2 nights of the year! This year, my mom wanted to go to "Rod Works'. While we stood in line, I recognized a lady who walked in.
"Mom, don't we know her?" I whispered.
"Nope. I don't recognize her." was her response that blew me away.
"You sure? I definetly recognize her." Then, two other "sister wives" came in. "Nevermind!" I told her.
Once we left, I explained to her who they were. Turns out they like that store. My friend once ran into one there. If you like that show, hang out at "Rod Works"!
My dad asked my brother to say the prayer on dinner. Seth started the prayer, and then my dad's cellphone went off in the middle. Seth then added to the prayer, "We're thankful for cellphones!" We are chuckled a bit, and when the prayer was over, we all bursted out laughing!
Edited so no one will get offended, and so it makes sense. (I will change names when needed.)

Camp again already? Time flies. Yesterday, we were greeted by a "bridge" of YCL's with pom-poms and whistle things (It was like new years!). I was hugged by the YCL's I know. (Kristina, Ashley, "mom", Amelia, Ann-Marie etc.) And by the stake YW presidency.
This year is...................
LEVEL CAMPING!
I camp with the second years at campsites 5&6. I share a tent with _____ (I'm her secret sister),______, and ISABEL!!!!!!!!!!! And maybe the chipmunk that broke in and ate Isabel's M&M's! haha

So... we ate our sack lunches, then did rotations after hearing the Stake leaders speak.
Rotations: 1) a lady talked about our relationship with our self
2) Sister ______ did a lesson on our relationship with our fellowmen
3) Sister__________ did a lesson on our relationship with God
4) Sister__________ and ____ family talked about our relationship with our family.
After, we went to flag (which I hung at the 1st flag of the day) and ate soup.
The YCL's have 4 pieces of paper: Virtuous, lovely, good report, and praiseworthy. Only 8 YCL's have the words, and only 1 word each! you had to get to know the YCL's/ be quizzed before you could get the word.
And RIBBONS!!!!!!!!!! If you do a good deed, you get a ribbon. I didn't know about them until Sister ________ walked up and told me how fun I am and that she loves me then she tied a gold ribbon on my lanyard. She is SO cool! The YCL's and leaders had little purses that had ribbons and words in them. Each YCL had one.
All night, I went around to the YCL's and said
"Hi! My name is Sydnee!"
them: Hi. My name is...
Me: I like your satchel. Does your satchel like me?
I would almost always get a ribbon.
Then we went to our campsite and started a fire and played games.
I have done:
flag
Kitchen duty
Latrine aka "Honey Bucket" duty
__________ and ___________ brought phones and I pods. :( GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
(I drew a regular frown face, not a sideways.)
They snuck out last night to hang a bra on the flagpole.
TODAY:
Woke up at like 5. It was a WINDY night. Got dressed etc. At 6 I was ready- same with Lauren and Isabel. We took pics and stuff, then went to kitchen duty after making our lunch.
After lunch, we went on a hike.
I HATE HIKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(That is not near as large as it is in my journal.)
We got back and sat around. Then, grove time.
Fun facts:
-Theme of camp: Steady the course. each level, (1-4) gets either Fam, God, self, or fellowmen to work on.
-Level 3 theme: Camp care-a-lot. I'm in tent LOVE!
-We have a camp pet. "swiper"

On Sunday, my dad got home from church at like 5:30. He walked into the house, and noticed the TV was off. He said, "Turn on something I like."
My mom shouted from the front room, "TV!"
I shouted, "Microwave!"
No. We didn't turn on the TV. Or the microwave.
-Seth got his licence on Friday! Caution: STAY OFF THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!! haha
-Hannah and LJ are coming down tomorrow! Hip! Hip!.....HOORAY!
-My birthday is this month!
-Hannah is graduating college in December! Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-I went to girls camp last month (What do you think, should I post my camp journal?)
-Seth finished all 6 seasons of LOST
-Our ward is slowly but surely shrinking
-I am NOT excited or ready for school. I have done ZERO school shopping. YIKES! And, I forgot how to do all the "fancy " (high school) math. Algebra One Honors should be...... adventurous
-I miss NO ONE from school. And when I say no one, I mean I text who I want to keep in contact with. Otherwise, I don't miss you :) (evil, right?!)
-I have the biggest feet ever! I'm going to end up special ordering shoes!
-I know what it is like to live with hoarders (thanks to girls camp)
-My mom's surgery went well, and she is doing great
-Today's fast Sunday was easy- not painful-easy!
-I found the funniest video called "Little Miss Primary"
-I have to do dishes:) Goodbye!

I am sitting on my couch blog surfing (I know- I am an old lady trapped in a 12 year old's body haha) (NO COMMENTS ISABEL!!!!!) and every few seconds I hear this loud beeping noise coming from the T.V.! It is driving me nuts! Can't I watch the weather channel in peace? I think I'd know if there is going to be a thunderstorm/flash flood if I am watching the weather channel! (Thanks to local on the 8's)
